The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the bank and lending arm of the European Union and the biggest multilateral financial institution in the world. Its shareholders are the 27 EU member states. The EIB has operated in the Caribbean region during almost three decades through capital investment, long-term loans and technical assistance. Due to their impact towards employment creation, the support to MSMEs has been one of the main pillars of the EIB activity in the region throughout the years. The EIB is member of Team Europe with the European Union and their member states, a coordinated response mechanism to the COVID-19 crisis.

Since May 2018, the EIB funds the Technical Assistance programme to its clients and the financial sector in several Caribbean countries including Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominica, St Lucia and Belize.

Frankfurt School is a leading business school and advisory institute in Germany with more than 60 years of experience in education and almost 30 years in consultancy, project execution and training services in the areas of banking, finance and management. The research centres enhance the spectrum of interdisciplinary and interdepartmental research at the Frankfurt School.

Since the early 1990s, the International Advisory Services team of Frankfurt School has been committed to improving financial markets and increasing access to financial services to the inclusion of low-income populations by offering consulting and advisory services, as well as capacity building.

Frankfurt School implements the Technical Assistance Programme to various Financial Sector Operations of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in the Caribbean including Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica and St. Lucia, since May 2018.

The Caribbean Climate Innovation Center

The CCIC is focused on empowering the Caribbean community and its respective countries to adapt, develop and deploy climate smart (cleantech) technologies and business models proactively and profitably. Our goal is to be able to support companies from the nascent stage up to later-stage innovations and commercialized enterprises, by providing early-stage and advanced education, bootcamps, incubation, accelerator programs, grants, and other services. CCIC also remains a part of a global network of Climate Innovation Centers working together to foster the development of entrepreneurs within the climate technology space.
